Train to Gain is a new service designed to help businesses get the training they need to succeed. It can help your business improve productivity and competitiveness by ensuring that your staff have the right skills to do the best job.
If your business meets the eligibility criteria, the costs of training and assessment for Train to Gain supported courses may be paid in part or full for your business. If your company has less than 50 employees, you may be eligible for a contribution to wage costs when releasing employees for training during their normal working hours. Employees must also meet eligibility criteria.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible, your company must: • have less than 5,000 employees
The employees you wish to be trained must:
• hold an employment contract (not volunteers)
• be age 20 or over
• not hold a full Level 2 qualification
• be UK nationals or hold the right of abode in the UK.
Train to Gain Level 3 For Women
Designed to help women achieve higher level qualifications, under the Train to Gain Level 3 programme, London based companies of any size may receive free training. In a nutshell, this means we are offering any three days of training of your choosing PLUS a nationally recognised qualification (NVQ) for no charge. The regular full fee paying prices for a similar package would cost in the region of £2,600.
Eligibility criteria
The employees you wish to be trained must:
• be women
• hold an employment contract (full or part time including the voluntary sector)
• be age 20 or over
• be UK nationals or hold the right of abode in the UK.
• your company must be based in London

Literacy and numeracy support is available from our project partners to support employees to achieve these qualifications, if required. Other training courses are available for these and all other sectors from other providers in the Train to Gain scheme through a broker referral process.

Contact Steve Dean who will make an initial check on your eligibility, and if you meet the criteria, will explain the registration procedure which will enable you to access training for your employees. |

Train to Gain is funded by the Learning and Skills Council and delivered in partnership with City & Islington College.

Classes start at 10.00am and finish at 5.00pm, refreshments and lunch is provided. |
