Overview
This course is suitable for people who are considering or are currently delivering short training courses, workshops, providing group work, presentations, training in-house or to others, or who are managing or supervising training.
Duration
3 days (2 days training, 1 day assessment) or 6x weekly 3 hour evening sessions
ILM Endorsement
This award has been endorsed by the Institute of Leadership and Management as meeting their quality standards. The assessments are externally verified by ILM. People who prefer not to undertake an assessment on the third day will receive a certificate stating attendance at the course, which has a development award.
Prerequisites
• Good knowledge of your teaching subject
• Basic IT skills (word processing, Internet)
• Good written and spoken English (for the purposes of assessment)

• Increase your confidence as a trainer

Price Per Course
For Individuals:
At The Innovatory : £850 (inc.VAT) for three days for one person, including ILM registration fee. (In order to run the class the minimum number of participants is 7 people.)
For Groups:
- At The Innovatory: For a group of 7-12 people the cost is £4,500 (plus VAT) for three days, plus the ILM registration fee of £63 per person.

On your company’s premises: For 7-12 participants £3,500 (plus. VAT) for three days, plus the ILM registration fee of £63 per person.
The company would be responsible for providing suitable accommodation, audio-visual equipment and lunch/refreshments.

Course times:
Daytime course:
The training is run over two consecutive days with a week’s gap before the third assessment day. There is approximately one hour pre-course work and two hours homework following the first day, and four hours preparation for assessment before the final day. Each day is 9:30am-4:30pm.
Evening course:
We offer the same programme over 6 weekly 3 hour evening sessions, 6:00pm-9:00pm

Assessment
Assessment for the ILM endorsed award consists of a 15 minute observed teaching practice session, and a written 90 minute case study. Successful candiadates will be issued with a certificate by ILM for the endorsed Train the Trainers Award.

Tutor
Alexis Pottinger has over 30 years’ experience in teaching and training, and is qualified to PGCE level. She has taught at all levels from infants to university level . Currently Training Manager at The Innovatory, she has specialized in adult education for the last 10 years both as a trainer and as a teacher-trainer. Alexis led a successful programme delivering City & Guilds 7307 and 7407 courses in teaching adults.
