Overview
This course will allow you to utilise all of the fundamental features of Sage Line 50. Sage Line 50 covers many routines which are fundamental to problem-free accounting.
Requirements Have a thorough understanding of all the basic bookkeeping skills. Terms such as Debit, Credit, Nominal Ledger and Trial Balance. Microsoft Computing experience would also be required.

• Basic configuration
• Account coding structures and layout of accounts

• Setup your Financial Year settings, Currencies, Tax Codes
• Departments and Company Preferences
Creating and Amending Accounts
• Set up the Chart of Accounts
• Create customer, supplier records and tailor nominal ledger records
• Alter the layout of the Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reports
• Look at the Accounts Analyser
Document Management
• Attach documents to the memo tab of Customers, Suppliers and Products
Opening Balances
• Understand the choice of methods and implications for Standard VAT and VAT Cash Accounting
Data Entry Routines
• Record and produce service invoices and credit notes
• Enter customer/supplier payments
• Cash and back receipts/payments
• Credit card transactions and expenses
• Create journal entries in the nominal ledger
Batch and Copy
• Duplicate customer orders and invoices
Data Reconciliation
• Month End
Error Corrections
